Hovering over the 'add object' icon will show you the option to add both new and existing objects to your BlueDolphin view.
If you are working in the object tab (as in the picture below), you will only see the option to create a new object:
Creating and adding new objects
By choosing the first option while working on the canvas, you can create objects and add them to your view.
You can enter the object name below "Which object(s) do you want to create?". This can be either a single object or you can add a batch by separating various objects with a semicolon. Next, under "Which object definition do you want to use?" you can select the object definition.
Once both fields are filled in, the objects can be added as a batch and it looks like this:
As you can see in the image above, it indicates which objects already exist and which are new. New objects can be recognized by the green checkmark. If an object already exists, it can be discarded from the batch. By hovering over the object with your mouse, a cross will become visible behind the object, which you can click to discard the object.
As soon as all desired objects are listed under Batch, they can be created and added to your view using the button with the same name in the lower right corner.
Tip: You can use the Enter key to click through to the next field. This makes creating and adding objects even faster.
Adding existing objects
The other option shown via the 'add object' icon is to add existing objects to your view. Also, you can add existing objects by double-clicking on the canvas of your view. For both methods, the following steps are the same.
You can search for objects via the search bar by entering the term and pressing Enter or clicking on the Search button. All results will then be shown per object definition. It is possible to add all results below a certain object definition at once by selecting the box next to it or by unfolding the layers and selecting one or more objects. By then clicking Add, the selected objects are added to the working set. This might take some time if you have many objects that you would like to add.
If you are looking for an object that does not yet exist, you will be given the option to create it.
By clicking on Create this object, the object can be created.
