ArchiMate and BPMN are inextricably linked. ArchiMate describes the relationships that a business process has with other ArchiMate objects. A BPMN process describes the steps that are performed within a process using ArchiMate objects.
Relationships between BPMN and ArchiMate in BlueDolphin
Executive actors, the applications and the documents used in BPMN, are examples of objects in ArchiMate. For this reason, BlueDolphin allows you to automatically establish ArchiMate relationships between the process (drawn in BPMN) and the (AchriMate) objects drawn in BPMN. In this way, describing processes in BPMN ensures that impact analyzes can be made in ArchiMate.
Recording BPMN relationships in ArchiMate
A BPMN work set creates new ArchiMate relationships if these didn't already exist in BlueDolphin. In BlueDolphin, relationships are saved as soon as you make a view official.
Note: BlueDolphin only creates relationships, it doesn't automatically delete them.
