Creating an object from the objects page
Click on the “create new object” button in the tab “objects” to create a new object.
The system will display the following pop-up:
Once you start typing the name of the object:
- The system will display any existing objects that match your input. This avoids creating duplicate objects. In fact, the system will reject duplicate names within the same object definition.
- The system suggest objects (not shown in screenshot) that might be useful based on the experience it has in its library. When you select such an item, the object definition will be automatically selected and you are able to create the object by clicking on “OK”.
Creating an object while creating a relation
On the 'Relationships' tab of an object you can create new relationships. While doing that you might realize that the target object doesn't yet exist in the system. Not to worry, the system will let you create the target object and the relationship in one convenient location.
Press the 'Add relationship' button:
In the pop-up, instead of searching for an existing object, press the 'Create new object' button:
Enter the name of the new object and select its object definition:
Press OK, and the system wil return to the add relationship pop-up with the new object selected for you:
