To enable End Users to create objects in BlueDolphin you need to create (or install a template of) an Object Definition.
Make sure you have installed an Archimate Specification so object types are available.
Take a moment to think about the Object Definition you want to add. Which archimate type should it be based on? Should I just reuse the archimate object type name or should I give it a more user friendly name. For instance, should you make several Object Definitions based on "Node" for things like "Servers", "Laptops" and "Clusters" or should you stick to one Object Definition called "Node" for all these things.
Once you've created an object definition, you should think about it's main properties. These should then be added as Object Properties.
If you want to enrich these objects with metadata, you can now add Questionnaires to the object definition.
In case you already have information in other sources that you would like to use to create or enrich objects, configure source connections for the object definition.
Once you have added and configured your object definition, don't forget to enable relations to and/or from the object definition by adding it to a Relationship Definition's Object Combinations.
For instructions how to do these things, check out the reference guide on this subject.
